(2) Machining cast iron. When turning the outer circle, end face and boring of cast iron workpieces on a CNC lathe, the hardness, wear resistance, high temperature resistance and durability of the CBN material are high, so even if a large area is processed, it can be guaranteed to be high The machining accuracy. The cutting speed during rough and fine turning can be 2~3 times higher than that of cemented carbide tools, and 1~2 times higher than that of ceramic pottery.
(3) Processing high-temperature alloys. CBN inserts have high thermal stability. Even at high temperatures, CBN inserts can still maintain the strength and hardness at room temperature, so they are more suitable for cutting high-temperature alloys. In rough machining, when the cutting depth is the same, the cutting amount of the CBN insert can be 80% of that of the cemented carbide tool, and the metal removal rate is 5 times higher than that of the cemented carbide tool.
(4) Processing cemented carbide and other materials. CBN blades can also be used for boring some hard alloy parts of cold punching tools to replace electro-physical machining, diamond grinding wheel grinding and polycrystalline diamond tool machining. The effect of processing sintered iron with CBN tools is also very good, which greatly improves the processing efficiency during grinding.
